As the fourth quarter of 2026 begins, the energy sector enters the final stretch of a year marked by shifting oil prices, evolving global demand expectations, changing U.S. energy policies and continued uncertainty around the broader macroeconomic outlook.

At the same time, energy companies have been navigating a mix of commodity-price movements, refining margins, production trends and capital-spending decisions, creating a varied backdrop for the sector.

Against this environment, growth-focused metrics can help identify energy companies that continue to show strong operating and financial characteristics relative to their peers.

Below is a list of 11 energy-sector stocks, all carrying an A+ Growth Grade, ranked across segments including oil and gas exploration and production, refining and marketing, energy equipment and services, and storage and transportation. The list includes companies with different business models and market-cap profiles, providing exposure to several parts of the energy value chain.

The Growth Grade is a quantitative assessment used in stock analysis to evaluate a company's growth prospects and expansion trajectory. The metric incorporates multiple growth-related indicators to assess how effectively a company is expanding its business and compares those characteristics with sector peers.

Growth factor grades are typically expressed on a letter scale from A+ to F, with higher grades indicating stronger growth characteristics. An A+ grade represents the highest level of growth characteristics within the grading framework.

Several companies on the list also carry Strong Buy Quant Ratings, including HF Sinclair (DINO) at 4.95, Delek US Holdings (DK) at 4.93, Plains GP Holdings (PAGP) at 4.82, Par Pacific Holdings (PARR) at 4.92, PBF Energy (PBF) at 4.98 and Phillips 66 (PSX) at 4.95. Phillips 66 is the largest company on the list, with a market capitalization of $105.57 billion.
