Two injured in Lagos multiple-vehicle crash

At least two persons sustained injuries in a multiple-vehicle crash involving two container trucks and three other vehicles at Apostolic, inward Alapere, Lagos State.
PUNCH Metro gathered that the accident involved two 40-foot containerised trucks and three other vehicles.
A video of the crash shared on the official X account of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority on Thursday showed officials of LASTMA, the Lagos Neighbourhood Safety Corps and the police at the scene managing the situation.
In a statement accompanying the video, LASTMA confirmed that two persons sustained varying degrees of injuries in the crash.
The agency said, “A multiple-vehicle crash involving two 40ft containerised trucks and three other vehicles occurred at Apostolic, inward Alapere, resulting in two reported casualties.”

According to LASTMA, the scene was secured to prevent further incidents, while its officials managed traffic and facilitated recovery operations.
It said, “The scene has been secured to prevent secondary incidents, while our men are on the ground to manage the situation and facilitate recovery. The incident is currently causing a traffic backlog towards the old Toll Gate, with recovery efforts ongoing.”
PUNCH Metro reports that another crash occurred on Tuesday at First Gate, inward Mile 2, along the Mile 2-Seme Expressway.
The accident involved two trucks, a commercial bus and nine motorcycles, leaving at least four persons injured.
