2027: Ex-senator Arise rallies Ekiti support for Tinubu

All Progressives Congress chieftain in Ekiti State, Senator Ayo Arise, has called on the party’s leadership and stakeholders in the state to unite and work towards securing a landslide victory for President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 general elections.

Arise said Tinubu’s achievements, including bold economic reforms, infrastructure renewal, efforts to restore security, the student loan scheme and renewed hope for Nigerian youths, had made his re-election imperative to consolidate the gains.

The former National Assembly member made the call in a statement made available in Ado Ekiti on Thursday, as the APC Presidential Campaign Council visited the state to campaign for Tinubu’s re-election.

Vice President Kashim Shettima had, during the campaign, urged Ekiti residents to deliver at least 90 per cent of the votes cast in the 2027 presidential election to Tinubu.

Arise urged his supporters across Ekiti North Senatorial District and the state to “begin unprecedented and aggressive mobilisation for the party for a landslide victory for President Tinubu. He is the only leader needed to transform the country”.

“The need for unity and aggressive grassroots mobilisation cannot be overemphasised at this critical time. Ekiti must speak with one voice in support of the President’s continuity,” he said.

He stressed the need for all progressive-minded Nigerians to rally behind Tinubu to support his efforts to develop the country.

He said, “President Tinubu has shown courage and vision in taking difficult but necessary decisions to reposition Nigeria. What he needs now is our total support, especially from his stronghold in the South-West. Ekiti must not be left behind.”

Arise, who expressed satisfaction with the reception accorded the APC Presidential Campaign Council in Ekiti State and the large turnout of party supporters across the state’s 16 local government areas, said, “Ekiti is fully ready to deliver overwhelming votes for the APC in 2027”.
