ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. -- Lamar Jackson's return lasted one play.
Jackson, the star quarterback for the Baltimore Ravens, was ruled out for the remainder of Sunday's game at the Buffalo Bills with a right thumb injury.
He hurt his right thumb on his first play in Sunday's game at the Buffalo Bills. While throwing a pass, Jackson had his right hand struck by the hand of Bills outside linebacker Greg Rousseau, who was attempting to knock down the throw.
The two-time NFL Most Valuable Player immediately looked down at his hand and went to the sideline. He went into the tunnel with his right hand wrapped and held by a trainer.
This marked Jackson's first game back after missing the past three games with a high ankle sprain. It's a devastating loss for Baltimore, which has only scored five touchdowns in the previous 14 quarters without Jackson entering this game.
The Ravens (4-3) are looking to avoid a three-game losing streak.
