Fahadh Faasil recalls leaving India two days after his debut film flopped

Actor and filmmaker Fahadh Faasil is gearing up for his Telugu debut as the leading man in the upcoming family drama ‘Don’t Trouble The Trouble’ backed by SS Karthikeya and presented by ace director SS Rajamouli.

Recently Fahadh Faasil revealed that after making his debut in 2002 which failed at the box office made him leave India and move to the US.

Ahead of the release of ‘Don’t Trouble The Trouble’ on October 2, the actor spoke about his journey, his experience working in Telugu cinema and the lessons he has learnt over the years as per Moneycontrol.Fahadh Faasil recalled how emotional his first film’s failure was for him. He left India just two days after its release and went to America after receiving a scholarship to study engineering.

“My first movie was a flop. I left two days after release. I went to America,” he recalled. He further added, “Maybe by then I thought that I am going to be in America for the rest of my life. Not going back to India, except for holidays.

.”However, his six years away from India changed his perspective. He discovered world cinema, books and new people, which eventually made him interested in acting again.“Those six years made me want to come back and do a movie. What started out as ‘one more film’ eventually turned into a much larger journey.

And that one movie turned into 66 movies,” he said.

Fahadh Faasil enjoys working in Telugu cinema

Fahadh Faasil who played the nemesis of Allu Arjun’s character in the ‘Pushpa’ franchise, also shared he has also been exploring Telugu cinema and said he has enjoyed his time working in Hyderabad.“I love it. I have been here a year and a half. I have family, friends. Too many people around me,” he said.The actor also praised the planning and professionalism he experienced while working with Telugu teams.“The Telugu team was very clear about the project and that was something that struck me,” Fahadh said.He added, “They know their product better than anything. They’re very clear about their product. They are very clear on how to go about with the product.”

About ‘Don’t Trouble The Trouble’

Speaking of the film, ‘Don’t Trouble The Trouble’ is directed by Shashank Yeleti and features Fahadh Faasil playing Suri while Baby Ssara Palekar portrays Divya. The film also features the 'Animal' fame Saurabh Sachdeva in an important role.Kaala Bhairava has composed the music.
