Scene'_ Suriya says Jithu Madhavan's narration made him laugh within five minutes.

Tamil superstar Suriya has spoken about his experience working with the Malayalam director Jithu Madhavan on the upcoming Tamil film 'Scene'. The actor revealed that the director's narration made him laugh within the first five minutes.

He also said he had long wanted to collaborate with Jithu Madhavan, and the project finally made that possible.Speaking at a promotional event in Dubai, Suriya described the film as a comedy crime thriller. He also praised his experience working with the Malayalam team, including Nazriya, Naslen and composer Sushin Shyam. The film is scheduled to arrive in theatres worldwide on November 6, coinciding with Diwali.

Suriya on working with Jithu Madhavan

Suriya said collaborating with Jithu Madhavan was something he had wanted to do for a long time. The actor recalled his immediate reaction when he heard the filmmaker narrate the story, saying the humour drew him in almost instantly.“I had wanted to work with Jithu Madhavan, and it finally happened! I started laughing within the first five minutes of listening to his narration. Even after 28 years and 48 films, working with a Malayalam team gave me a completely fresh experience! Nazriya, Naslen and Sushin Shyam were very special.

‘SCENE’ is a crime thriller packed with comedy in Jithu’s signature style. Audiences can expect a truly unexpected and fresh experience in theatres this Diwali,” Suriya said, as quoted by Reporter website.

'Scene' combines crime and comedy

The upcoming movie brings together crime, suspense and humour, with the 'Aavesham' fame Jithu Madhavan directing his first Tamil feature. Jithu Madhavan previously directed the Malayalam films 'Romancham' and 'Aavesham', both of which became blockbusters.

'Scene' marks his next directorial project and his first Tamil-language film after those successful Malayalam releases.

Suriya's police character Inbaraj gets a glimpse

The promotional event in Dubai also featured the release of a glimpse video introducing Suriya as Inbaraj, a police officer in the movie. A character teaser featuring Naslen was released recently. The actor plays a character named Eeshwaran in the film. From the looks of the glimpse, it seems that Naslen will be playing a grey-shaded character.

'Scene' gears up for a Diwali release

'Scene' is scheduled to open in theatres worldwide on November 6. The release is timed for Diwali, and the expectations are high. Suriya's recent films 'Vishwanath and Sons', 'Karuppu', turned out to be blockbusters and the actor is aiming for his third hit this year with 'Scene'.
