Halloween costumes on stream usually get a laugh, but one viewer's idea landed very differently on Adin Ross' Kick stream this week. The viewer joined a video call with his face painted white and announced he had come as the ghost of a dead athlete. When asked who, he named Kimbo Slice, the street-fighting legend who died in 2016, and the reaction on Adin's side came instantly. "Ew," was the first response, and within seconds the viewer was cut off with a quick "Next!"

Who Kimbo Slice was

Kimbo Slice, whose real name was Kevin Ferguson, was born in the Bahamas and grew up in Miami. He first became famous through viral backyard street fights in the early 2000s, and then moved into mixed martial arts, fighting in EliteXC and appearing on the UFC's The Ultimate Fighter before going on to fight in the UFC itself. Later in his career, he also stepped into boxing.

He died in June 2016 at the age of 42 after suffering heart failure. His death hit the combat sports world hard, and he is still remembered as one of the first internet-made fighting stars.

What the viewer said on Adin Ross' stream

The call started off slowly, with the viewer struggling to get his camera working. Once he appeared, he was asked straight away, "What are you supposed to be?" "I'm the ghost of a dead athlete," he replied, before naming "Kimbo Slice" and calling him an "MMA player."

Someone on the call quickly corrected him with "Fighter, you mean," and the viewer apologized with a "Yeah, sorry, fighter." He then tried to keep the bit going, saying he was about to step out of his Uber so he could show off the full costume.

The viewer never got that chance, as the call was ended with a blunt "Next!" and the room moved on. The comments that followed made it clear the costume hadn't gone down well. "Yeah, bro, that was weird," one voice said, while another added, "Facts. That was weird."

Before the next caller appeared, someone on the call also paid quick tribute to the late fighter with a "RIP Kimbo." Fans online had a similar reaction. "Nahh Burt crazy," one viewer wrote under the clip.
