A pair of actors are exiting The Gilded Age and will not appear in season 4.

Premiering Sunday, November 1st, on HBO Max, the fourth season of Downton Abbey creator Julian Fellowes' hit historical drama picks up in 1886. New York high society continues to change, led by Bertha Russell (Carrie Coon), who is still separated from her tycoon husband, George Russell (Morgan Spector). Meanwhile, Peggy Scott (Denee Benton) prepares for her wedding to Dr. William Kirkland (Jordan Donica).

Deadline reports that Patrick Page and Sullivan Jones will not be part of The Gilded Age season 4. Both actors were part of the series since season 1. Page played Richard Clay, George Russell's ruthless secretary. Jones played T. Thomas Fortune, Peggy Scott's former editor and love interest.

Page and Jones were significant players in The Gilded Age season 3. Richard Clay was fired by George Russell for his business failures, and Clay attempted to get revenge on his former boss. Clay is also a prime suspect in George's shooting. The absence of Clay in The Gilded Age season 4 calls into question how 'Who Shot George Russell?' will be resolved.

Meanwhile, Thomas Fortune and Peggy Scott crossed the line from professionalism to romance in The Gilded Age season 2, despite Fortune being married. Thomas became the jilted lover when Peggy began seeing her now-fiancé, Dr. William Kirkland. Fortune must have accepted defeat and moved on in the timeframe between The Gilded Age seasons 3 and 4.

Even with the loss of Jones and Page, The Gilded Age's cast remains massive, led by Carrie Coon, Christine Baranski, Morgan Spector, Louisa Jacobson, Cyntha Nixon, Denee Brown, Harry Richardson, and so many more playing high society's biggest players and their faithful servants below stairs.

The Gilded Age season 4 is still adding more actors, with Dennis Haysbert, Maggie Kuntz, Neal Huff, Bonnie Milligan, Jim Gaffigan, Taylor Trensch, James Scully, Dallas Roberts, Andrew Burnap, Elizabeth Marvel, and Adrienne Warren joining the cast.

Gaffigan in a major guest role playing President Grover Cleveland, who is hosted at a lavish dinner by Agnes Van Rhijn (Christine Baranski), is one of many new The Gilded Age season 4 storylines to look forward to.

The Gilded Age season 4 premieres Sunday, November 1st, on HBO Max
