Hailee Steinfeld Shares Proof Her Daughter Is a "Smart Cookie"
Hailee Steinfeld Is Josh Allen's No. 1 Fan During Rare Appearance at Bills Game
Hailee Steinfeld is feeling the magic of motherhood.
Six months after the Hexed actress welcomed her first baby with husband Josh Allen, she shared sweet insight into how it feels to watch her daughter Harper hit exciting milestones.
“I feel like she’s 6 months, and also 4 weeks, and also 5 years old,” Steinfeld explained during an appearance on the Nov. 5 episode of Live With Kelly and Mark. “Time is crazy how it works.”
“She is totally on the move,” she continued. “This girl is crawling around.”
And the Pitch Perfect star admitted that she can’t help but feel in awe of her baby girl.
“It’s so funny,” she explained. “It's so true with what parents have always said of like, ‘You will be convinced your child is a genius when they're doing everything right on track.’”
Steinfeld added, “And I'm like, ‘But she's crawling already. She's got to be a genius!’”
In fact, the Hawkeye alum shared that Harper is already proving that she has a need for speed and is showing off some serious strength. After all, she is the daughter of an NFL quarterback.
Case in point? When Mark Consuelos asked Steinfeld if her daughter is “pulling herself up,” she replied, “Oh yeah!”
And after Kelly Ripa—who shares kids Michael, 29, Lola, 25, and Joaquin, 23, with Consuelos—noted that “girls are really fast,” Steinfeld sweetly sung her daughter’s praises.
As she put it, “She’s a smart cookie.”
And though Steinfeld’s life was forever changed when she started her motherhood journey earlier this year, the 29-year-old has made sure that she prioritizes her own wellbeing throughout the process.
“This season of life has definitely taught me to slow down, really just soak in the small pockets of joy that are truly all around us,” Steinfeld shared. “Time for myself looks a little different now, but I find it.”

And as the Sinners actress has changed her approach to self-care, she and her husband also switched up their game plan for Allen’s NFL season.
The Buffalo Bills quarterback—who married Steinfeld in May 2025—told E! News in July that this year “is definitely going to be different,” but noted that he doesn’t “want to miss anything” when it comes to his baby girl.
And the 30-year-old couldn’t be more grateful to have a teammate like Steinfeld by his side, praising her as a “supportive partner.”
