Aston Villa beat Fenerbahce 6-0 in the UEFA Champions League 2026-27 league phase at Villa Park on Wednesday, making it the club’s biggest ever European victory.
Swiss forward Johan Manzambi put Villa in front, and Jackson was on target twice before the interval. It was Jackson’s fifth goal in eight games since arriving from Chelsea in August.
Ross Barkley’s second-half double and Tammy Abraham’s late strike put the seal on a welcome success on home turf for Villa.

Meanwhile, in Norway, Fredrik Sjovold’s 52nd-minute strike secured a 1-0 victory for Bodo/Glimt over Borussia Dortmund, extending the side’s remarkable home record against Europe’s elite.
Bodo was a cut above the 2024 Champions League runner-up and took the lead through Sjovold just after the break.
Dortmund improved in the final half hour but was unable to strike back, despite a late chance for Felix Nmecha.
