10 areas record unhealthy air quality at 7am

KUALA LUMPUR: Ten areas recorded unhealthy air quality readings as of 7am today, according to the Air Pollutant Index (API).

Based on readings from the Air Pollutant Index Management System (APIMS) portal, Johan Setia recorded the highest API reading at 157, followed by Shah Alam (156) and Nilai (153).

Putrajaya and Klang each recorded a reading of 152, followed by Cheras (151), Seremban (130), Port Dickson (117), Batu Muda (110) and Petaling Jaya (109).

Meanwhile, 54 locations recorded moderate API readings, while four others recorded good readings.

An API reading of 0 to 50 indicates good air quality, 51 to 100 moderate, 101 to 200 unhealthy, 201 to 300 very unhealthy, and 301 and above hazardous.
