Grammys are great, Oscars divine, Emmys are a dream and Super Bowl trophies are tops. But in the world of Minnesota Timberwolves shooting guard Anthony “Ant” Edwards, the only hardware that matters is his annual tongue-in-cheek Believe That Awards.

And the winner of one of the top prizes at the second-annual BTA honor could not be more apt this year. After bestowing the jokey prize on actor Timothée Chalamet last year, Edwards announced that the coveted 2026 White Boy of the Year prize went to Justin Bieber. The resurgent Swag star beat out some stiff competition from Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl legend Travis Kelce, Spider-Man star Tom Holland, World Cup viral Viking Erling Haaland and perennial contender actor Robert Pattinson.

Bieber couldn’t make it, but he sent in a video to commemorate his career high-point. “Mr. Anthony Edwards himself honoring me with the White Boy of the Year award. Man, thank you bro,” said Bieber in the vertical clip in which he was wearing a gray hoodie. “This is special. Everyone knows how influenced I am by Black culture and this one’s sweet. I appreciate you guys, I’ll tap in with you guys soon. All right.”

The awards celebrating “standout moments, cultural disruptors and iconic achievements across sports and entertainment, filtered through the unapologetic and uncensored lens of Edwards,” is available to screen on Edwards’ YouTube page now. The whole affair had a playfully casual mood, with Edwards casually eating his dinner while presenting the prizes and gleefully razzing the winners during their acceptance speeches.

Other hotly contested categories included the Main Character of the Year, which featured Zendaya, Cardi B, Keke Palmer and Mr. Beast going up against the night’s winner, viral comedian Druski. “I thought I was getting white man of the year award!” the comedian said in a beamed-in acceptance speech from what looked like the inside of a plane.

Chalamet was not totally shut out this year, though. He earned a nom for Iconic Performance of the Year for his role in Marty Supreme, with stiff competition from Inda Navarette (Obsession), Jaafar Jackson (Michael), Anne Hathaway (The Odyssey) and the night’s winner, Michael B. Jordan, for this searing dual role as Smoke and Stack in Sinners.

Other winners included: IShowSpeed (Creator of the Year), Timberwolves power forward Jaden McDaniels (Stood on Bidness), Timberwolves point guard LaMelo Ball (Bring Ya Ass), tennis champ Coco Gauff (Beauty and the Best — Outstanding On/Off Field Performance) and 50 Cent who took home the Lifetime Achievement award.

And you know Fiddy showed up and gracefully accepted the honor, while reminding everyone that he has, “12 years where they won’t argue that nobody’s better than me. I ain’t gotta keep it forever. You ain’t got to be No. 1 while you’re 60,” he said with a smile.
