Katseye Postpone Chicago and Minneapolis Shows Due to ‘Megan Recovering From a Concussion’

The group was supposed to perform tonight at United Center in Chicago and in Minneapolis on Nov. 7

Katseye have announced they are postponing their concerts in Chicago and Minneapolis, citing that member Megan Skiendiel is recovering from a concussion. The group was supposed to perform at Chicago’s United Center tonight, Nov. 5, and at Minneapolis’ Target Center on Saturday, Nov. 7. The news was shared on the venues’ respective social media pages before the group addressed the situation themselves on Instagram.

“The label has made the decision to postpone our shows in Chicago and Minneapolis as Megan is recovering from a concussion,” the group wrote in their Instagram Story on Thursday. “We are incredibly sorry to disappoint our fans. We know how much you’ve been looking forward to these shows, and that many of you have traveled long distances to be there. We don’t take that lightly, and we’re truly sorry for the disappointment.

“We’ll announce the rescheduled dates as soon as possible, so please hold on to your tickets,” they continued. “We can’t wait to see you in both cities again soon. Thank you for your continued love, support and understanding.”

A rep for Hybe did not immediately respond to Rolling Stone’s request for comment.

The two show postponements come on the heels of Katseye postponing their show in Detroit earlier this week, mere hours before they were set to take the stage at Little Caesars Arena. At the time, the group said it was due to Skiendiel being “unwell” with an unspecified illness.

Earlier this year, Katseye dropped out of Olivia Rodrigo’s Daisy Chain Fields Festival after Skiendiel suffered a sprained ankle.

The North American leg of Katseye’s Wildworld Tour kicked off Oct. 13 and runs through Nov. 28. Two of the six members are on hiatus. In August, six months after Katseye’s Manon Bannerman announced she was taking a break for mental health reasons, Sophia Laforteza revealed she would be temporarily stepping away to focus on her mental health. Laforteza is expected to rejoin the group in January, while Bannerman’s return date has not been disclosed. Katseye’s Yoonchae Jeong, Skiendiel, Lara Raj, and Daniela Avanzini have been performing as a quartet for the tour’s current run.
