Tickets still available as Soweto Kota Festival kicks off!

The Soweto Kota Festival has officially kicked off this weekend, running from 12-13 September 2026 at the Elkah Cricket Stadium in Soweto.

The gates will be open from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM on Saturday and 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM on Sunday.

Various ticket packages are still available and can be purchased online via Computicket or Webtickets, in-store at Shoprite, OK Furniture, Boxer, Checkers, and Pick ‘n Pay, including directly at the gate.

This scrumptious event, originally planned for 5-6 September 2026, was postponed due to bad weather. Management has confirmed that the new dates won’t affect the validity of tickets already bought.

SOWETO KOTA FESTIVAL TICKET PRICES

Adult tickets cost R150, while tickets for students and learners costs R130 (student card, letter, or school term report required). Entrance is free for kids under three.

Tickets at the gate will cost more than those sold online.

Adults: R200

Students and Learners: R150

Kids aged 3 to 13: remain priced at R100, just like online.

The year 2026 marks the 9th annual Soweto Kota Festival, featuring over 50 Kota stalls, live music, a VIP marquee, and tons of fun activities such as a jumping castle, digital games, face painting, and prize giveaways.

Attendees can bring their empty cooler boxes, as beverages will be sold inside the venue.

The exciting line up incudes Lamiez Holworthy, Kitchen Mess, DJ Zeal, among others.

HOUSEKEEPEING RULES

Hubbly can be rented on-site.

No firearms.

No illicit or Illegal drugs.

Snacks for kids are permitted.

Only plain gazebos and umbrellas are allowed: no branded ones.

Camp chairs and picnic blankets allowed.

All children from the age of 1 – 10 must register their parents’ details on tags and registration forms at the gate.

PayShap will be accessible through all vendors, and cardless payment
options will also be available.
