Celebrity Traitors fans point out major problem with 'yawn' twist - are Maya Jama and James Acaster doomed?

Spoilers follow for the Friday (16 October) episode of Celebrity Traitors.

The Celebrity Traitors fans think they've spotted a big problem for Maya Jama and James Acaster after the latest episode. The instalment ended with the duo - and their new recruit King Kenny - trying to murder in plain sight by getting someone to yawn.

The final moments before the end credits implied it will either be Ross Kemp or Jerry Hall who will fall victim to the scheme - but if it's Jerry, then it seems Ross could pose an enormous threat.

The EastEnders icon has been famously paranoid about 'murder in plain sight' twists - so now that one has actually come about, will he really not notice? And if he does, could Maya and James - who were in the room with him at the time - start attracting suspicion?

Writing on X, one person said: "Ross Kemp was the last person the Traitors should have encouraged into the room. He will be all over this 'murder in plain sight'. Captain's hat anyone?"

Another wrote: "This yawning task is too obvious in front of Ross Kemp!!"

"With all the fake yawning, Ross clocked this. Could Maya or even James have slippped up? No-one has questioned Maya yet but this may start now," a third theorised.

"Ross Kemp looking absolutely paranoid watching James A and Maya - he's gonna be on to them next if he survives this," someone else wrote, while yet another said: "I think if Ross survives, Maya is going to end up going i think because of the amount of yawns unless James yawned more and we didn't see? Which would be a shame bc she's played the best traitors game thus far. If they find Maya, James could be gone quick."

Of course, Jerry could always survive, and Ross could go - a possibility that led one viewer to post: "Omg Ross being killed in plain sight, not by touch, but by yawning, would be hilarious after all his paranoia of being killed in plain sight at the start."

Tonight's episode marked the start of the second-half of the series, with Joe Lycett banished.

The episode also saw an emotional Miranda Hart opening up on finding "play" and "joy" after her health issues.

The Celebrity Traitors is available to watch on BBC One and iPlayer.
