Police commissioner, district commander participate in race honoring fallen Druze community members

After the race began, Levi ran alongside Israel Police officers as a gesture of respect and appreciation for fallen members of the Druze community who died serving the state and its citizens.

Israel Police Commissioner Insp.-Gen. Daniel Levi and Northern District Commander Meir Eliyahu participated in the annual “For the Sons’ Path” race on Friday, held in memory of fallen members of the Druze community.

The traditional race took place in Lavi Forest and is held every year to commemorate fallen members of the Druze community while honoring their legacy and contributions to Israel’s security.

Hundreds of Israel Police officers participated in the race, alongside senior security officials, representatives of public organizations, members of the Druze community, and other participants who gathered for an event focused on remembrance, unity, and honoring those who lost their lives.

Levi and Eliyahu helped launch the five-kilometer race, alongside senior officials from the security establishment and public organizations who took part in the event.
