The public has been urged not to approach a wanted man, last seen south-west of Brisbane, and immediately contact police if he is spotted.

Denzel Dynevor, 25, is a sex offender who was being held in government custody under a forensic disability order.

He was being escorted by two officers on a day visit to the PCYC on Griffith Road in Eastern Heights, a suburb of Ipswich, when he absconded about 11.20am on Tuesday.

Dynevor is described as First Nations, approximately 160cm tall, with brown eyes and dark brown hair.

He was last seen wearing a black singlet, blue shorts, and black shoes but may have changed his clothing.

“Anyone who may have seen Denzel or has information that may assist police to locate him is urged to contact police immediately,” police said.

“Members of the public are asked not to approach Denzel.”

Dynevor was in custody at the Forensic Disability Services medium-security facility at Wacol, operated by the Department of Families, Seniors, Disability Services and Child Safety.
