A brand-new Cyberpunk 2077 release has been confirmed for 2028, and fans of the multimedia franchise will want to mark their calendars for this arrival. It’s a huge moment for the series, as it is evolving as we speak. There have been official updates about the Cyberpunk 2077 sequel by CD Projekt RED, as well as the recent release of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 on Netflix. The anime’s release has also resulted in a major patch for Cyberpunk 2077 itself, which may be the final update the RPG sees in its lifetime.

In addition to everything new that is currently being released for the franchise and what is in the pipeline, a brand-new Cyberpunk 2077 release has been announced. According to a new report by Game Rant, CD Projekt RED and Studio Trigger have teamed up with Prime 1 Studio to release a new statue based on Lucy from the first season of the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners anime. The new product is already available for pre-orders, though its release is expected to happen at some point between March and June 2028, as stated in the report.

Available to pre-order on Prime 1 Studio’s official website, the statue highlighting Lucy from Cyberpunk: Edgerunners is a premium product, priced at $ 899. The figure shows Lucy in a static pose, floating as she uses her monowire, connected to her head. Around her, connected to the base, are the two iconic holographic koi fish that fly around Arasaka Tower in the anime’s interpretation of Night City. The figure comes at 1/5 scale, compared to how large Lucy would actually be. There are two extra details about this figure that make it stand out immensely.

The first is that the statue of this character from Netflix’s 100% Rotten Tomatoes-rated masterpiece has LED illumination at its base, helping bring the cyberspace in which she floats to life. The second cool detail about the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners statue is that Lucy comes with two distinct head parts. One is the standard piece, while the other bonus part is called the Netrunning head. The difference is that the Netrunning head has Lucy change her expression as her eyes glow red.

The new product is still in its development stage, so there may be a few changes to size and weight, as stated on the official product page on Prime 1 Studio’s website. Even so, this new statue is already one of the best collector’s items for fans of the Cyberpunk 2077-adjacent anime, Edgerunners, and its impeccable first season. Lucy is the heart of the show, alongside David Martinez, so it’s no surprise she is being featured in a standalone statue like this one.

With the recent release of Edgerunners 2 on Netflix, it’s likely going to be a while before we see anything new on the Cyberpunk front. CD Projekt RED’s development efforts are currently directed at the highly anticipated The Witcher 4, so details about Project Orion and the future of the dystopian franchise after Cyberpunk 2077 remain a mystery – but only for now.
