Saturday, 31 October will see the next installment of the Soweto derby between Orlando Pirates and bitter rivals Kaizer Chiefs at the FNB Stadium.

Kick-off is at 15:30.

The build-up to the match has predictably dominated local football discussions this week.

History

The match will be the 61st Soweto derby league match since the professional era kicked off in the 1996/97 season.

Incredibly, of the previous 60 matches, Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates have each won 18 matches, while 24 clashes ended in stalemates.

Equally incredibly, only one of the last 15 matches has ended in a draw – and that was the most recent match in April 2026.

Unbeaten

Heading into the match, both sides are unbeaten in the league after eight matches.

The Buccaneers are in second place in the standings, while the Glamour Boys are in fifth. Eight points separates the sides.

Take 30 seconds to fill in the form below and let us know who you think will emerge victorious this weekend.
