‘Vote for Netanyahu’: Trump urges Israelis to re-elect ‘outstanding warrior’ PM to ‘finish job’ in Iran

US President Donald Trump has urged Israelis to vote for the return of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to office, saying that the two leaders must “finish the job” against Iran. The appeal came on Sunday, two days before the election, as polls show Netanyahu’s coalition is far short of a majority.

In a fresh post on Truth Social, Trump renewed his endorsement of Netanyahu, whom he first backed a week ago.

The latest intervention comes after an Axios report that the Israeli prime minister had been pushing the US president to publicly reaffirm his support. The US President wrote, “To the people of Israel, to those who haven’t seen it, I am attaching the Endorsement I gave one week ago to your Prime Minister, Bibi Netanyahu.

As everyone is aware, including the enemy, Bibi and I have had a great relationship in winning together.”Trump also linked his appeal directly to the military campaign against Iran, presenting his cooperation with Netanyahu as a shared effort and urging Israelis to consider what he described as the prime minister’s record as an “outstanding Warrior Prime Minister.”“I did the Venezuelan attack, one of the most successful Military Operations in History but, before that, we did Operation Midnight Hammer, stopping the World’s Number One State Sponsor of Terror from obtaining a Nuclear Weapon.

Then we did Operation Epic Fury, and Iran now has No Navy, No Air Force, and both their Military and Economy are in shambles, including the fact that Iran’s Inflation is at 301%. The Naval Blockade has precluded them from getting Oil, and two levels of leadership, both Military and otherwise, are gone.

When you go to the Polls please remember that Bibi has been an outstanding Warrior Prime Minister!Trump urged Israelis to re-elect Netanyahu, saying the two leaders must continue their campaign against Iran and prevent threats to Israel and the US. “Israel was called The Little Satan, with the United States being called The Big Satan, by some very evil people. There can no longer be the chant heard around the World of “Death to America, Death to Israel,” and there won’t be. Vote for Bibi Netanyahu for Prime Minister, we have to finish the job that we started! President DONALD J TRUMP”Trump’s latest show of support comes after months of reported differences over the handling of the conflict with Iran.

Many media reports had portrayed the US president as frustrated with Netanyahu for allegedly promising a quick victory against Tehran at the start of the year, a result that did not eventually materialise. The relationship also faced reported strains when Washington chose to halt its campaign against Iran and pursue an agreement. Israel was wary that a deal between the sides could undermine its security.Back in June, Israel’s continued strikes in Lebanon frustrated peace talks with Iran, prompting expletive-laden criticism of Netanyahu from Trump.

The US president said then that he would “most likely” endorse Netanyahu’s re-election bid, but wanted to see who else was running before making a decision.Despite these reported disagreements, both leaders have continued to insist that they have a good working relationship.Trump has also repeatedly spoke about elections in other countries, departing from the longstanding norm that US presidents do not publicly intervene in the electoral contests of allied nations.
