Lamine Yamal found the net, but two-time European champion Paris Saint-Germain came out on top against Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League 2026-27 at the Parc de Princes in Paris.
The host provided bulk of the attacking thrust for most of the night, taking and surrendering the lead twice before two late goals ensured that it secured all three points.
PSG was dealt an early blow when talisman Ousmane Dembele limped off with injury after 19 minutes, and Ferran Torres, his replacement, squandered a series of chances after coming on before a sizzling strike from Desire Doue gave it the lead before half-time.

Barcelona improved after the break, and equalised when young full-back Xavi Espart burst into the box and fired past Matvey Safonov. Lucas Hernandez headed PSG ahead again from a corner, but Yamal drifted behind his full-back and fired home to level the match heading into the final ten minutes.
Yamal also equalled Kylian Mbappe’s record for the most goals by a teenager in the Champions League in the process.
However, Vitinha’s fine volley from the edge of the box handed PSG the lead for a third time in the match before Fabian Ruiz tapped in Achraf Hakimi’s cross to confirm the result.
