The Chemical Brothers’ Tom Rowlands and Aurora announce new Tomora EP ‘Celebration’ with euphoric title track

Tomora have announced a new five-track EP ‘Celebration’ and shared its euphoric title track – check it out below.

The new release from the duo – made up of Norwegian art-pop phenomenon Aurora and The Chemical Brothers legend Tom Rowland – comes following them dropping their debut album ‘Come Closer‘ earlier this year.

Set to feature five tracks, the new EP will be released via Capitol Records digitally on October 16, and physically on November 27. Visit here to pre-order.

The first taster of the EP is out now, in the form of the title track – a propulsive, euphoric single that blends AURORA’s signature, ethereal vocals with a driving electronic pulse.

Another version of the song will feature on the EP, as will the previously released 10-minute version of ‘In A Minute’, an expanded take on the original track from the debut album.

“Celebration is a privilege,” the duo shared. “Celebration is a person. Celebration is a funeral and celebration is a ritual. It’s human nature. And it’s a human need. We should all be celebrated, as real human beings.”

The new EP is announced alongside confirmation of a new live show, which will be Tomora’s first East Coast headline show, and takes place at Brooklyn Paramount in New York on March 24 next year.

Already this summer, the duo have played huge sets including festival appearances at Coachella and Fuji Rock. Later this week, they will play at China’s Strawberry Festival in Shijiazhuang on Friday (September 25) and Sunday (27), before holding a headline show in Japan on October 1.

Later next month, they will head to the UK and Ireland for more headline shows – including a sold-out stop at London’s Roundhouse, before a few headline shows across Europe.

Speaking to NME about what to expect from their live shows, AURORA shared: “We don’t want any structure to be left in a building after we’ve been there. We’re going to move around a lot, and like both our shows, it’s going to be very dynamic.”

“I feel like I can experience TOMORA in the same way as anyone out there can; both from the inside and out. There’s something about this album that is easier to listen to without judgment. It’s very enjoyable,” she added.
