Football Manager 27 release date confirmed, but some players will have to wait

The Football Manager 27 release date has been confirmed, although fans on some platforms will have to wait longer than others to get FM27 on their device of choice.

This news comes shortly after the FM27 new features reveal, which promptly pushed the fan base to exclaim in one united voice of hope, "We are so back."

Fans with decent memories will remember that FM26 arrived later than usual, flying past its usual November with a flurry of delays. And Fm25 didn't come out at all. Luckily, FM27 does not seem to have the same problems.

Indeed, today's news confirms that Football Manager 27 will launch on 10 November for PC, Mac, PS5, Xbox Series X/S and Mobile (the latter of which is releasing via Netflix). The game will be priced at £49.99.

The eagle-eyed among you will notice that the Nintendo Switch 2 is not listed among those day-one platforms. Apple Arcade was not mentioned, either. The developers noted in the announcement that "details on further platforms will be confirmed subsequently". ​

In the announcement, Sports Interactive also promised that FM27 will deliver "greater control, smoother discovery and a more enticing football world".

This will be music to the ears of fans after the mixed response to FM26 - our own FM26 review gave the game three stars at launch, although we did recently share some more positive thoughts on the game's continued improvements.

The UI looks to have been majorly overhauled in FM27, reverting to something that's closer to FM24's long-loved looks, and it will be easier to get at your data as well. Customisation seems to be a bigger deal this time, too.
