Watch the highlights as Italy beat Vincenzo Montella’s Turkiye 3-1 in the Nations League with Gianluca Scamacca, Riccardo Calafiori and Pio Esposito on target.
The Azzurri concluded this long break for international duty with their fourth match in 11 days, having lost to Belgium, won 4-1 in Turkiye and held France to a 1-1 draw in Paris.
Scamacca had not scored for his country in three years, but reacted quickly to a lucky ricochet in order to smash the volley in off the underside of the crossbar and break the deadlock.
Gianluigi Donnarumma was forced into some tricky saves before Aral Simsir tapped in a well-worked team move for the equaliser.
However, Arsenal defender Calafiori got his first senior Nazionale goal, and fellow substitute Pio Esposito completed the rout with his second goal of this Nations League group.
As France defeated Belgium, this result moves Roberto Mancini’s side into second place in Group A1.
