Mancini to watch three young Italy hopefuls during Torino vs. Roma

Italy national team head coach Roberto Mancini is expected to attend the Serie A match between Torino and Roma on Monday evening and will be keeping his eye on three young Azzurri hopefuls, as well as a handful of more established senior internationals. 

Mancini continues to scout youngsters ahead of Italy squad announcement

Mancini will announce his first Italy national team squad since his return to the role of CT on Friday, ahead of a bumper international break that will see the Azzurri take on Belgium, Turkiye, France and Turkiye again in the Nations League. 

The national team boss has been observing a number of matches across Europe in recent weeks ahead of his first squad announcement of the season, including the Ligue 1 match between Paris FC and Lyon this weekend, which featured Diego Coppola and Luca Koleosho. 

According to reports from various outlets on Monday, Mancini will also be in the stands in Turin for the Serie A match between Torino and Roma, kicking off at 17.30 BST. 

According to reports from Calciomercato.com, there are three youngsters that Mancini has a particular interest in, specifically Torino’s Alessio Cacciamani and Roma pair Niccolo Pisilli and Emanuele Lulli. 

It remains to be seen whether Mancini is looking at these players ahead of the September-October international break or for future national team camps further down the line. 

Torino vs. Roma will feature several other, more senior players, who could be in line for a call-up to the national team squad later this week, including Gianluca Mancini and Bryan Cristante. Pietro Comuzzo is also likely to start in the Torino defence.
