This was confirmed by the Police Public Relations Officer, Jigawa State Police Command, SP Shi’isu Adam, in a statement made available to journalists on Tuesday in Dutse, the Jigawa State capital.

He said, “The Command has recorded a significant breakthrough in the investigation of armed robbery and burglary incidents reported in Jahun Division with the arrest of six suspects and recovery of robbed items.”
According to him, the incidents occurred on September 24, 2026, at about 2:00 a.m. when armed men invaded two residences in Jahun Local Government Area.
He explained that the hoodlums first attacked the residence of a 35-year-old man at Kofar Daru Quarters, Jahun.

He added that, “In a related incident, the same armed men stormed the residence of a 37-year-old at Shagari Quarters, Jahun LGA.”
He said the suspects made away with two blankets, rice, a woman wrapper and N45,000 cash from the second victim. Adam disclosed that detectives from Jahun Division visited the scenes and commenced investigation immediately.
