Otto Addo drags GFA to FIFA over contract termination, demands more than $750,000

Translate

Former Ghana coach Otto Addo has lodged a complaint with FIFA against the Ghana Football Association (GFA) following the termination of his contract in March, JoySports can exclusively reveal.

The former Borussia Dortmund coach is demanding more than $750,000 from the GFA over what he considers the unilateral termination of his contract.

JoySports understands that Addo has made several attempts to secure payment from the football association without success, prompting him to take the matter to FIFA.

Addo was earning a monthly salary of $50,000 after signing a 34-month contract with the GFA in March 2024.

He had 10 months remaining on the agreement when it was terminated following the Black Stars' friendly defeat to Germany in March 2026.

It remains unclear what financial agreement, if any, was reached between the two parties at the time of the termination.

However, JoySports sources indicate that Addo is seeking payment for the outstanding period of his contract, with his claim exceeding $750,000.
