Warner Records Hit With Executive Layoffs

Translate

Warner Records was hit with approximately a dozen layoffs across the company this week, including executive marketing VPs Victoria “Torie” Mason and Dalia Ganz and senior VP of publicity Fount Lynch, sources confirm to Variety.

At least five of the layoffs took place at the company’s Nashville office, where Mason and Lynch are based; VP of radio promotion Anna Cage, West Coast manager of artist relations Jenna Johnson and regional manager of radio Kayla Burnett were also among those affected. Ganz, who joined the company in 2022, had been promoted to EVP just 15 months ago.

The news was first reported by Country Aircheck; reps for the company had no comment.

The moves continue a long and far-reaching series of layoffs since CEO Robert Kyncl officially took the helm in January of 2023. It seems this round was a latter part of the $170 million in staff cuts announced in July of 2025, which the company said was the final stage of the restructuring, although it is also possibly related to the departure of longtime co-chair and COO Tom Corson, who was elevated to COO of the parent company, Warner Music Group, earlier this year.

“Many changes will be implemented in the next three months, with the remainder in fiscal 2026,” Kyncl wrote in a July 2025 memo to the staff, in which he laid out the company’s priorities.

“In an ever-changing industry, we must continue to supercharge our capabilities in long-term artist, songwriter, and catalog development,” he wrote. “That’s why this company was created in the first place, it’s what we’ve always been best at, and it’s how we’ll differentiate ourselves in the future.”
