Minister of State for Information Diaa Rashwan affirmed that Egypt continues to uphold its historic role in supporting the Palestinian people’s cause, unifying their ranks and mobilizing all political, humanitarian, media and popular efforts to bolster Palestinian steadfastness and defend their just cause at international forums.

Rashwan made the remarks during a meeting at his office on Tuesday, November3, 2026, with General Supervisor of Official Palestinian Media Ahmed Assaf.

The talks covered developments in the Palestinian cause and the ongoing Israeli military offensive against Palestinians in the West Bank, Jerusalem and the Gaza Strip, as well as blatant violations targeting Islamic holy sites.

The meeting also addressed the need for Arab media to play its part in supporting the Palestinian cause, particularly in light of shifts in international public opinion against Israeli occupation violations following the genocidal war launched by Israeli forces on the Gaza Strip, which continues to this day.

Rashwan said Egyptian media, through all its platforms and tools, was fulfilling its national and pan-Arab responsibility toward the Palestinian cause, which he described as the foremost central issue for all.

For his part, the Palestinian official expressed the Palestinian people’s appreciation for Egypt’s sacrifices and decades-long support.

He said Egypt’s historic positions since the outbreak of the genocidal war against the Palestinian people in October 2023 had been instrumental in thwarting plans to displace Palestinians from their homeland and supporting their steadfastness in confronting the occupation.

Assaf also praised the longstanding role played by Egyptian media outlets across all platforms in supporting the Palestinian people’s just cause.
