Amy Winehouse Band announce “one-night-only” ‘Back To Black 20’ London show with Mark Ronson, FLO, Jorja Smith and loads more

Amy Winehouse’s former band have announced a special London show celebrating 20 years of ‘Back To Black’, with Mark Ronson, FLO, Jorja Smith and more set to take part.

Titled Back To Black 20, the concert will take place at the Roundhouse in Camden on October 21, just days before the 20th anniversary of Winehouse’s landmark second album.

The Amy Winehouse Band will perform ‘Back To Black’ in full, led by original album producers Ronson and Salaam Remi, Winehouse’s longtime musical director Dale Davis, producers Paul O’Duffy and p*nut, and former Island Records president Darcus Beese.

A huge cast of guest vocalists hand-picked by the album’s original producers will also appear, including Baby Rose, Corinne Bailey Rae, FLO, Jessie Reyez, Jorja Smith, Lianne La Havas, Nia Smith, Sasha Keable, Skye Newman and Yebba.

“I’m honoured to be asked to come celebrate Amy alongside Salaam and some amazing artists worthy of singing her songs,” said Ronson. “Doing justice to the legacy of ‘Back To Black’ is the order of the night.”

Remi added: “Funny how time flies! I can’t believe it’s been 20 years already. I’m excited to see what these ladies bring to their versions of these songs we know and love.”

Fans wanting access to the artist pre-sale for the Roundhouse concert can pre-order any 20th anniversary edition of ‘Back To Black’ from Winehouse’s official store by 12pm on Monday (September 28) to receive an exclusive pre-sale code. Tickets then go on general sale at 10am on October 1 here.

The Roundhouse has particular significance in Winehouse’s story. It was the site of her final public appearance on July 20, 2011, when she joined her goddaughter Dionne Bromfield on stage during the iTunes Festival.

Winehouse danced with Bromfield and encouraged the crowd to buy her album ‘Good For The Soul’. Winehouse died three days later at her Camden home, aged 27.

The Back To Black 20 concert will also be recorded for broadcast. BBC Two will air it later in October as the centrepiece of a night of programming celebrating Winehouse, while BBC Radio 2 will broadcast the show on October 26 between 7pm and 9pm as part of Jo Whiley’s programme.

The performance forms part of a wider programme of events marking two decades of ‘Back To Black’, with a deluxe 20th anniversary reissue of the record also announced last month.

Now due for release via UMR/Island on October 23, the expanded editions will include four previously unreleased demos, rare B-sides and other demos and bonus tracks, as well as Winehouse’s February 8, 2007 show at Amsterdam’s Paradiso from the ‘Back To Black’ tour.

‘Back To Black’ was originally released on October 27 2006 and went on to sell more than 25million copies worldwide. Winehouse won five awards at the 2008 Grammys for the record and its singles, including Record Of The Year for ‘Rehab’, Song Of The Year and Best Pop Vocal Album.

Ronson has already paid tribute to Winehouse onstage this year. While accepting the Outstanding Contribution To Music honour at the 2026 BRIT Awards, he recalled that the day Winehouse first visited his New York studio “changed my life forever”, before performing ‘Back To Black’ and bringing out the Dap-Kings for ‘Valerie’.

The Amy Winehouse Band have also continued to perform her music around the world in recent years. Speaking to NME in 2024, Davis said he had initially been reluctant to continue without Winehouse, but came to see the shows as being for her fans.

“We do it out of the love and respect Amy gave us over the years and try to honour that as closely as we can,” he said.

This summer also marked 15 years since Winehouse’s death, with her mother Janis among those paying tribute to her and reflecting on the lasting impact of her music.
