Michelle Keegan enjoys cocktails and caviar on a lavish trip to Paris as Mark Wright treats her to Celine Dion tickets after 'dropping hints for months'

Michelle Keegan was whisked away for a romantic weekend in Paris by her husband Mark Wright. 

The actress, 39, revealed she had been 'dropping hints for months' about Celine Dion playing in the city, and was treated to the lovely surprise over the weekend after Mark, 39, got her tickets to one of her concerts. 

The couple, who have daughter Palma, 18 months, took time off from parenting duties to enjoy cocktails, caviar and go sight-seeing during Paris Fashion Week. 

Michelle shared an insight into her trip on Instagram on Tuesday. 

The Blame star cut a glamorous figure in a black cut out satin dress from her collection with Very as she cosied up to Mark at the restaurant Lapérouse.

Celine is in the middle of a comeback residency in the French capital, after a battle with Stiff Person Syndrome (SPS) forced her to cancel her last tour in 2023.

The singer revealed in December 2022 that she had been diagnosed with Stiff Person Syndrome, or SPS, which causes muscle stiffness and painful spasms.

At its worst, the debilitating condition left her unable to walk properly or use her singing voice as she once had.

In 2024, Celine made a promise: 'I’ll sing again.'  

After delivering her first song of her first comeback show, On ne change pas (We don't change), she said: 'I had promised myself not to cry. Here we are… I'm standing on stage in this city that I love so much, thanks to your support and your love.

'I have to admit, though, that the road was rocky. The journey was longer than expected, with unplanned stops along the way.

Michelle is a huge fan of Celine. In 2019, the actress went to see the singer in Las Vegas. But before heading to the stadium, the couple enjoyed a fancy meal 

'But I hung in there. A faint ray of light in the distance, deep in the mountains. I believed in it. And here it is. The sun – the sun is here. The sun, right in front of me.' 

Michelle is a huge fan of Celine. In 2019, the actress went to see the singer in Las Vegas and told fans at the time: 'I’ve been a fan of this woman for most of my life. I remember every road trip I had with my mum when I was little she used to play her songs and explain to me what the lyrics meant.

'She’d then turn the volume up so loud the windows used to vibrate. I grew up learning her songs inside out.

'I finally got to see her live in @vegas she was incredible, I cried, I screamed, I fangirled. It was one of those nights I’ll never forget. @celinedion...I knew my long skinny finger would come in handy one day (the video).'

Earlier this month, Michelle opened up on life as a working mum. 

In a new interview, the star detailed how she copes juggling her work with motherhood, noting that it's 'tough' before confessing she 'went in blinded' when she accepted her role on The Blame before she had Palma.

Michelle stars as DI Emma Crane in the ITV crime drama and while she has thrown herself into the role, she told how she didn't realise how 'hard' it would be to adjust to working full-time as an actress whilst fulfilling her duties as a mother.

Speaking to Grazia, she shared: 'Listen, I think I went in blinded. Obviously I agreed to the role before I had Palma, because I was so excited by it. I think you just believe that you're going to be fine. And of course I can do it, loads of women work full-time and are a mum. But it is hard. It's really hard.'

She continued: 'I had long days and had to go home and learn a lot of lines for the next day and be fresh, but still look after the baby at night when she was up. Luckily Mark [Wright, her husband]'s brilliant, he's a great partner and he's such a good dad as well.'

Michelle went on to say that while she's had the support of her husband and their families, it hasn't made the role of being a working mum any less exhausting. 

She said: 'Thank God I've got the support system with Mark, and his family and my family have been brilliant as well. But I'm not going to lie. It's tough… I'm absolutely shattered.'
