Exclusive: Linda Robson confirms Loose Women return date after "scary" pancreatitis battle

Linda Robson has confirmed when she is set to return to Loose Women following her recent health battle. The Birds of a Feather and Shine On Harvey Moon star, 68, underwent major surgery earlier this year after gallstones damaged her pancreas, resulting in her spending 10 days in intensive care.

“It was scary, but I'm fine now,” she told Digital Spy at the press night for Tulleys Shocktober Fest on Friday.

“I'm going back to Loose Women in November. All of them [the Loose Women panellists] have been supportive. They are all in touch all of the time.”

Digital Spy has contacted ITV for comment.

Robson made her Loose Women debut in 2003 before becoming a regular face on the ITV panel show in 2012. In 2018, the actor and presenter took a two-year break before returning in 2020.

Opening up about her health in May, Robson admitted she had feared the worst.

“I was petrified in intensive care. I thought I was going to die,” she told The Sun. “I had to have most of my pancreas removed because there were two tumours in a difficult position. I had to have a brain scan as well.

“Seeing my kids’ faces got me through it. They were at the hospital all the time. They’ve been amazing,” she continued.

One positive she said she could take from the ordeal was that she now feels “more confident”.

She explained: “I had to take a back seat for a little while to get better, but I’m fine now. I’m on the mend. I want to make the most of life. I like being out and about now that my big worries are over. I feel a lot more confident now.”

Robson was joined by Loose Women stars past and present at Tulleys, with Katie Price and Jane Moore among those braving the annual Halloween festival in Surrey, which celebrates its 30th anniversary this year.

Price’s children Princess Andre and Harvey Price also stepped out for the event, alongside Love Islandstar Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu, I’m a Celebrity's Shona McGarty and former EastEnders stars Shaun Williamson and Danniella Westbrook.

Robson, who was joined by two of her granddaughters, admitted she doesn't believe in ghosts, but joked she'd be “looking out for a few” as they made their way around the 12 scare attractions and mazes.

“Hopefully they won't follow me home!” she added with a smile.

Shocktober Fest runs until 1 November.
