Michelle Branch Kicks Off Sold-Out “Everywhere and Back Again Tour” With Career-Spanning Set

Michelle Branch kicked off her sold-out “Everywhere and Back Again Tour” Sunday evening in Seattle at The Showbox with a career-spanning set that celebrated her 25 years in music.

Her 21-song set commenced with a rendition of “Drop in the Ocean” before transitioning into “Find Your Way Back” and “Breathe,” a song from her 2003 album Hotel Paper that she has re-envisioned on the soon-to-be released EP Everywhere and Back Again. Her set leaned heavily into Hotel Paper and her breakout 2001 record The Spirit Room, starting with a performance of “You Set Me Free.”

For the second part of the set, she treated fans to a new song called “With Every Heartbeat,” which she has played at previous performances but has yet to record. She continued with the hits from her first two records with renditions of “Something to Sleep To” and “One of These Days” and also performed “The Game of Love,” her Grammy-winning single with Santana which also gets a facelift on her upcoming EP.

The latter part of the set was punctuated by “Goodbye to You,” “All You Wanted,” and “Are You Happy Now?” She played an encore of “Hopeless Romantic” and her biggest hit “Everywhere.”

The day after the concert, Branch put out a new version of “Goodbye to You” featuring Maren Morris from the Everywhere and Back Again EP, which comes out November 6th, with a video recreating the prom scene in an episode of the reality TV show Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County on MTV. Cast member of the 2000s show, Kristin Cavallari, is in the video for the latest version.

The “Everywhere and Back Again Tour” continues on Tuesday, September 29th in Portland at the Crystal Ballroom before heading to San Francisco for two nights at The Castro October 1st and 2nd. Branch continues the run of shows through November and also has tour dates planned for 2027 starting in February.
