Celebrity Traitors viewers branded Ross Kemp's in plain sight murder on Thursday night's episode 'absolute cinema' and 'ironic' after he spent the whole series riddled with paranoia of that exact fate.
Last week's episode ended on a huge cliffhanger as Traitors Maya Jama, James Acaster and King Kenny had to make either Ross or Jerry Hall yawn first in order to kill them. And it was in fact Ross who yawned first.
Inhaling the 'deadly sleeping powder', James then locked in the murder as he said: 'Sorry Ross, am I boring you?'
The EastEnders actor's growing paranoia was a major talking point at the start of the series – showcasing a very different side to his usual tough-guy persona.
He previously accused Bella Ramsey and Leigh-Anne Pinnock of murdering him in plain sight – and now, ironically, that was his demise.
Viewers were quick to point out the irony after his paranoia has been a major talking point of the series.

'There's a great line from Shakespeare; I think it's Polonius's advice to his son. To thine own self be true - and I have been true to myself, and I have been true to the Faithfuls.
'Well played, Traitors, but you're always going to be Traitors, and I know where you live.'
Feeling guilty about her kill, Maya said: 'Grant Mitchell, aka Ross Kemp, I loved you as a child, and I love you as a real person.
