Kaizer Chiefs have released early team news, with four players ruled out. Langelihle Phili, Lebohang Maboe, Brandon Petersen and Siphesihle Ndlovu will miss out through injury, while Luke Baartman faces a late fitness test.

BETWAY PREMIERSHIP: KAIZER CHIEFS VS STELLENBOSCH FC

With Maboe and Ndlovu unavailable for coach Fernando Da Cruz, at least two changes are guaranteed. “Chiefs still have four major injury concerns, with Brandon Petersen returning to individual training while recovering from a knee injury…

“Lebohang Maboe, who has played in all eight of Chiefs’ games this season, is nursing an ankle injury, while Phili and Siphesihle Ndlovu remain long-term absentees,” the club revealed.

Tanzanian international Adolf Mtasingwa is expected to earn his first start in the Betway Premiership in the defensive midfield role. The 27-year-old previously made three league substitute appearances against Mamelodi Sundowns, Polokwane City and Golden Arrows.

Right-back Reeve Frosler, who played in central midfield during pre-season in Spain, could slot into the middle of the park. Mduduzi Shabalala and Etiosa Ighodaro are likely to replace Luke Baartman, who is an injury doubt, and Pule Mmodi.
