Evelyn Joshua donates food, cash to Brazil community

Pastor Evelyn Joshua, leader of The Synagogue, Church of All Nations, has donated food items, clothing, toiletries and R$50,000 in cash to residents of Colinas do Oeste community in Osasco, São Paulo, Brazil.

According to a statement by the church on Monday, the humanitarian outreach took place on Monday, September 21, 2026, following Joshua’s two-day evangelical crusade in São Paulo.

The church stated that the intervention came amid concerns over social vulnerability in Osasco, one of Brazil’s major urban and economic centres.

According to the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics, Osasco had a population of 728,615 in the 2022 Census, while its per-capita Gross Domestic Product stood at R$163,878.12 in 2023.

Despite Osasco’s economic strength, a 2025 municipal study found that 262,875 residents, representing 36.08 per cent of the population, were registered in Brazil’s low-income CadastroÚnico database, with pockets of poverty and social vulnerability identified across the municipality.

The statement noted that it was against this background that Joshua and the Emmanuel TV team visited Colinas do Oeste, distributing food, clothing and toiletries to residents and presenting a R$50,000 cash donation to the community.

Speaking during the outreach, Joshua said the gesture was part of the humanitarian legacy of SCOAN’s late founder, Prophet T.B. Joshua.

“I am here today to present these gifts to you from my heart. I want to tell you that I love you all from the depth of my heart. May God continue to bless you,” she said.

The statement further noted that the cash donation was received on behalf of the community by Roberto, popularly known as Robertão, a community leader who has been involved in helping families build homes and supporting residents to become self-reliant.

“Residents who gathered to welcome Joshua and the Emmanuel TV team expressed appreciation for the gesture.

“A resident, Adrinana, who spoke through an interpreter, described the visit as a moment of joy, saying the intervention showed that the community had not been forgotten. She said the visit demonstrated that “God is indeed with them.

“Another resident, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said the community was grateful for the assistance, adding that the outreach showed SCOAN’s commitment to humanitarian activities beyond its church premises,” the statement added.

The outreach formed part of Joshua’s evangelical visit to Brazil and highlighted SCOAN’s emphasis on combining Christian preaching with practical assistance to communities facing social and economic challenges.
