Physical injuries, unlawful arrest case vs Michelle Dee, Rhian Ramos dismissed

Translate

MANILA, Philippines — The Office of the City Prosecutor of Makati on Monday, September 14 dismissed the complaints of slight illegal detention, unlawful arrest and physical injuries filed by alias "Totoy" against actress Rhian Ramos and beauty queens Michelle Dee and Samantha Panlilio.

The prosecutor's office cited insufficient evidence in dismissing the complaints, which stemmed from an alleged incident early this year. Totoy is a former driver and personal assistant of Ramos.

"We are very happy with the resolution. At the onset, it is our vehement submission that this complaint against our clients are bereft of merit. In the end, justice and truth prevail," lawyer Maggie Abraham-Garduque told Philstar.com in a text message.

Abraham-Garduque is Dee's legal counsel.

In January, Totoy filed a complaint with the National Bureau of Investigation over an alleged incident at a condominium where he claimed he was assaulted.

On March 9, Dee filed a perjury complaint against Totoy. She had also earlier filed a qualified theft complaint against him.

On May 13, Totoy filed complaints of slight illegal detention, unlawful arrest and physical injuries against Ramos, Dee and Panlilio before the Makati City Prosecutor's Office.

The three had denied the allegations. — with report from Ian Laqui
