How did you meet your husband?

I met David, my darling husband, during my National Youth Service Corps service year. We became friends from there, and that was how our relationship started.

What were the attributes that attracted you to him?

The first thing that attracted me to him was his spiritual maturity, the way he valued the things of God. In addition to that, he is an intelligent and wise man. I saw that he is disciplined, and most importantly, he is caring and empathises with people. He is also a giver.

How did he propose to you?

He told our pastor’s wife, who had been praying along with me. I didn’t know he had been in love with me until he communicated his intention through her, and that was how our relationship started.

What event on your wedding day was the most memorable to you?

It was the moment the pastor asked him to ‘kiss the bride’. It was an unforgettable moment for me.

How has being a wife and mother changed you?

Being a wife and mother has taught me to be more patient, hardworking, prayerful, disciplined and consistent at what I do.

What advice would you give to youths planning to marry?

Youths planning to marry need to genuinely seek God before choosing whom to marry. And they should always keep the bed undefiled during their courtships. It is very important
