Actor and filmmaker Justin Baldoni has quietly sold his Los Angeles-area property for $2.1 million, months after moving to Nashville with his wife, Emily Baldoni, and their children amid his high-profile legal battle with Blake Lively.
The sale of the three-bedroom home in Culver City, California, was completed off-market in August 2026, according to Page Six.Baldoni, best known for directing and starring in the 2024 film ‘It Ends With Us’, purchased the property in 2017 for $1.04 million. He has now sold it for $2.1 million, marking a difference of approximately $1.06 million between the purchase and sale prices, before accounting for renovation expenses, taxes and other costs. The sale comes as the filmmaker and his family continue to build their life in Tennessee after relocating from California. Their move to Nashville followed months of intense public scrutiny surrounding the legal dispute between Baldoni and his former ‘It Ends With Us’ co-star Lively.

Originally built in 1952, the Culver City residence is spread across a 5,736-square-foot lot and features three bedrooms and three bathrooms.
The property includes a swimming pool, wood-vaulted ceilings and modern finishes, following extensive renovations carried out by Baldoni. The actor had earlier given fans a glimpse into the transformation of the house. In a 2020 Instagram post, he revealed that the renovation process had taken three years and involved considerable attention to the home's design and atmosphere.“So after three years we have finally finished our home!” he wrote at the time.
“So much love has gone into this house, that to say it’s been a labor of love is an understatement. I’m going to post some before and after pics/video soon as it’s hard to believe it is even the same house. There’s so much love inside these walls.”Baldoni also joked that he had spent three years “Feng Shui-ing the heck out of the house”. The property was reportedly sold off-market in August, with Page Six confirming the $2.1 million transaction. However, the home was not necessarily the family's primary residence in recent years. PEOPLE, which also confirmed the sale, reported that Baldoni had not lived in the Culver City property for years and that it was being held as an investment.

Baldoni, his wife Emily and their two children have been living in Nashville, Tennessee, since late 2025, according to PEOPLE. The family had previously spent time in Ojai, California, before making the move to Music City. The couple reportedly purchased a Nashville home for approximately $3.4 million as they sought a fresh start away from the Hollywood spotlight. In May 2026, a source told PEOPLE that the city had provided the family with a welcoming environment during a particularly difficult period.“It’s obviously been an incredibly difficult time for the whole family, but Nashville has given them a fresh start,” the insider said at the time, adding that Justin and Emily were “incredibly resilient and grounded”.“Right now, their focus is really on family and moving forward,” the source added.Despite the relocation, Baldoni has not completely severed his real estate ties with California. He still owns a five-bedroom property in Ojai, a picturesque community in Ventura County. The Spanish-style estate was listed for $8.88 million in April 2026 but was subsequently taken off the market, according to Page Six.

Baldoni's relocation came against the backdrop of his widely publicised legal dispute with Blake Lively, which began following the release of their film ‘It Ends With Us’ in 2024.In December 2024, Lively accused Baldoni of sexual harassment during the film's production and alleged that he and others had orchestrated a campaign to damage her reputation after she raised concerns. Baldoni strongly denied the allegations and responded with a $400 million defamation and extortion lawsuit against Lively, her husband Ryan Reynolds and their publicist. The legal battle escalated over the following months, attracting widespread attention and bringing the film's production, cast relationships and promotional campaign under scrutiny. In June 2025, a judge dismissed Baldoni's $400 million countersuit. In April 2026, a federal judge also dismissed most of Lively's claims, including her sexual harassment claims, while some retaliation-related claims remained in the case. The former co-stars ultimately reached a settlement in May 2026, approximately two weeks before the case was scheduled to go to trial. Their joint statement expressed hope that the agreement would bring closure and allow everyone involved to move forward “constructively and in peace”.The legal developments continued after the settlement, with a federal judge ruling in August 2026 that Baldoni and his production company, Wayfarer Studios, must pay Lively just over $400,000 towards her legal fees. The broader dispute had therefore entered a different phase, even after the parties had settled their main claims.
