‘The Paradise’ actor reveals his 5–7 minute scene was cut from Nani starrer

Nani’s latest film ‘The Paradise’, directed by Dasara filmmaker Srikanth Odela, arrived in theatres on Thursday and has drawn mixed reactions from audiences and critics. Amid the discussion surrounding the film, actor Remo Raheem, who plays a supporting role, has revealed that a scene featuring him was significantly shortened in the final cut.The actor also addressed the criticism surrounding the film, defending its central theme while asking audiences not to overanalyse its logic and to experience it as a work of cinema.

Remo Raheem took to Instagram and shared a video featuring a brief clip from The Paradise. While sharing the footage, the actor revealed that the sequence was originally much longer.“I have been feeling bad. My truck scene in The Paradise is actually 5–7 minutes long.

But due to the film’s length, they had to cut it short,” he said.The actor’s comments suggest that the sequence underwent substantial editing before the film’s theatrical release. While expressing his disappointment, Remo chose to shift the focus towards the film itself and its central subject.

Despite being disappointed about the shortened scene, Remo Raheem urged viewers to watch the film and decide for themselves whether they connected with it.

“Let’s put that aside. Did you watch the movie? Did you like it or not? Let me know,” he said, before encouraging audiences to watch the film and highlighting its emotional core, particularly its motherly sentiment.The actor also addressed criticism over the film’s logic. According to Remo, audiences should avoid focusing excessively on whether every aspect of a movie is logically realistic.“If you keep looking for logic, no film will satisfy you,” he said.

He added, “Please watch a movie as a movie. Don’t kill cinema, support it.”Remo further defended the film against the criticism it has received, saying, “Everyone is calling it a bad film, but it’s not at all. Watch it with your family.”His comments reflect his personal view of the film and come amid ongoing audience reactions following its theatrical release.

In his Instagram caption, the actor also spoke about the emotional difficulty actors can experience when scenes they have worked extensively on are removed or shortened during editing.“There is immense hard work involved in acting in movies,” he wrote, describing the disappointment of seeing scenes into which an actor has invested significant effort being cut during the editing process.He added that such moments can be particularly difficult for performers because of the emotional and creative investment involved in shooting those sequences.

Directed by Srikanth Odela, The Paradise stars Nani in the lead role as Jadal. The film also features Mohan Babu, Sonali Kulkarni, Kayadu Lohar and Raghav Juyal in key roles.According to Sacnilk figures cited in reports, ‘The Paradise’ recorded a worldwide gross of Rs. 76.90 crore on its opening day, marking Nani’s biggest opening to date.
