Vanja Milinković-Savić replaces Alex Meret in goal for Napoli against leaders Lazio, with Noa Lang behind Rasmus Højlund, while Nuno Tavares shakes off a muscular problem to start for Gennaro Gattuso’s side.
Napoli vs. Lazio kicks off at 12:30 CET [11:30 GMT] on Sunday at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona, with Luca Pairetto as referee.
Gennaro Gattuso returns to Naples as leader of Serie A. His Lazio side are still unbeaten after 10 games, with nine wins and a draw, and are top on 28 points. Roma’s 3-0 win over Sassuolo on Saturday cut their lead to a single point, so a win today would put the Biancocelesti back four points clear before the international break.
It’s a very different picture for Napoli. Max Allegri’s side are 14 points behind today’s opponents on 14 and come into the game after losing 2-0 at Juventus and 4-1 at Porto in the Champions League, which has put the coach under growing pressure.
