Single Radio 47 personality, Mkamburi Chigogo says women can leave men who talk too much

Mkamburi Chigogo has shared her views on men who talk excessively, arguing that women may choose to walk away from such partners in favour of more reserved men.

Mkamburi, who is known for openly discussing relationships and marriage, said a man’s behaviour in private can influence how attractive or desirable he appears to his partner.

According to the outspoken presenter, women may not appreciate being in a relationship where the man talks more than they do.

“Women despise men who talk a lot. Ukiwa kwa room, you are talking more than me? Utawachwa na mtu ataendea sponsor ambaye ametulia,” Mkamburi Chigogo said.

Her comments come days after she spoke about dowry and what she would do if she ended up financing her own bride price.

Mkamburi on paying her own dowry

Mkamburi previously declared that if she were forced to pay her own dowry, she would make the matter known during a family meeting attended by her uncles and other relatives.

“Mimi nikijilipia mahari, kwenye kikao nitatangaza!” Mkamburi Chigogo said on Tuesday, September 1, 2026.

She explained that she would stand before both families and disclose that she had provided the money, insisting that the contribution should not go unnoticed.

“Let me assure you, mimi nikawai lipa mahari, wallahi katika kile kikao, uncles zangu, kina nani wako hapo, nitasimama, nitasema tu nataka tu nitangaze na niweke wazi kwamba mna deni langu,” she said.

Mkamburi added that although she could step in financially if necessary, she would still expect the man marrying her to play his part in the dowry process.

“Kwenye hii familia wanaume, mimi ndio nimejilipia mahari and I expect this man here that is marrying me, kuchangamka,” Mkamburi said.
