Angine De Poitrine debuted a new third alien member at a recent live show. Check out the footage below.

The mysterious experimental duo expanded their line-up during their gig at the History venue in Toronto, Canada, last night (Thursday November 5).

They were briefly joined on stage by a third member, who played the triangle on a new, as-yet-untitled track, which was given its live debut. Setlist.FM notes that the extra musician is called ‘Poitrine’, but this has not yet been verified.

Elsewhere, fans on Reddit have been theorising over the identity of the additional character and what the funky tune could be for. “Apparently it’s the new theme song for some Quebec TV show,” one person said.

Someone else commented: “The new alien doesn’t have a good sense of rhythm yet.” A user jokingly replied: “Maybe they’re a virtuoso on their home planet and we are simply unable to comprehend it.”

Other users praised the “groovy af” and “very cool” track, while another fan shared: “Someone said [the new member is called] Petit Poitrine in another post, so now that’s my head canon until proven otherwise.”

Angine De Poitrine’s current run of shows will continue with a homecoming performance in Québec tonight (Friday November 6) ahead of further dates in Montréal, New York, LA and more cities in North America.

The band recently announced a huge world tour for 2027, including three nights at London’s O2 Academy Brixton and a concert at Halifax’s Piece Hall in June (find any remaining tickets here). These UK dates take place around the same time as Glastonbury – suggesting that the duo could rock up at Worthy Farm next summer.

This year has seen the viral group perform on Jimmy Fallon and Later… With Jools Holland, release their second album ‘Vol. II’ and embark on a critically acclaimed headline tour.

NME gave their show at London’s Troxy last month a glowing five-star review, saying that the “alien pair are out of this world”. It concluded: “Believe the hype – these beings are from another planet.”
