Coronation Street's Bethany to hear life-changing plea in Sarah trial story

Coronation Street has released a clip from next week's episodes as Sarah Platt makes a desperate plea to daughter Bethany, one that could change her entire life.
Sarah's day in court approaches, as she tries to convince the judge that she acted in self-defence when she killed evil Theo Silverton, although it won't be easy with Danielle staring at her from the witness stand.

In this scene from Friday's episode, Sarah calls up Bethany, who is sat with David and Shona.
"My barrister doesn't think it went too well", she explained. "I think we need to prepare for the worst.
"Bethany, darling, I know this isn't how you planned your life out, and I'm so sorry, but if the worst does happen tomorrow, I want you to take care of Harry."
As she got more emotional, she added: "I know that you're young and you having a kid right now is probably the last thing that you need. If anyone understands what that's like, it's me, but you were the best thing that's ever happened to me. You still are.
"So would you please take care of Harry? Would you be a mum to him?"

Will Bethany agree to what her mum is asking of her? Or will Sarah manage to avoid getting sent down so Bethany doesn't have to make that decision?
It's not the only scene from next week's Corrie that you can watch already, as we've got the moment that Kit Green has his hair shaved off by Brody Michaelis in preparation for his chemotherapy.
Coronation Street airs on weeknights at 8.30pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
