Pitt Street Productions Developing Feature Adaptation of Jessica Joyce Romance Novel ‘The Ex Vows’

EXCLUSIVE: Pitt Street Productions has locked down feature film rights to Jessica Joyce‘s 2024 romance novel The Ex Vows with plans to package an adaptation imminently.

An instant USA Today bestseller, The Ex Vows follows two estranged exes who are forced to team up to rescue their best friend’s chaotic wedding. As they spend nine days in close quarters at a picturesque winery, their carefully constructed rules for keeping their unresolved feelings at bay begin to unravel.

The book from publisher Berkley, an imprint of Penguin Random House, was a BookTok breakout.

Pitt Street Productions comes to the adaptation after producing Amazon’s #1 summer hit The Last Sunrise, based on the novel by Anna Todd, alongside Luber Roklin Entertainment and Ethea Entertainment. The company is also behind the teen romantic drama See You On Venus, starring Virginia Gardner and Alex Aiono. Founder Brian Pitt has a track record of successful book-to-screen adaptations, having produced both the After franchise — based on Todd’s books — and the Beautiful Disaster franchise, based on the New Adult romance books by Jamie McGuire.
