Hollyoaks confirms shocking event in the village with residents stunned

Hollyoaks is set to air some huge episodes next week, as a dramatic event sends shockwaves around the village. With the walls closing in on Imran Maalik, could this latest incident be the final nail in the coffin – and will he confess to his crimes?

It was recently revealed to viewers in a flashback episode that Imran enjoyed an unexpected romance with Cindy in America before he crossed paths with Leah, and that the pair are behind Ste’s kidnapping.

While Imran and Cindy decided to take revenge by taking Ste and framing James for his disappearance, Cindy later backed out of the plan and Imran continued with his plan alone.

Imran even got Lucas to help cover his dad’s kidnapping, but when Lucas fled the village and a chase went seriously wrong, Imran left him for dead – and later made a threat against Ste’s life to stop Lucas from revealing the truth.

Meanwhile, Leah has started growing closer to Imran again since her accident, but she was shocked when she watched Imran’s video confession and discovered about his previous connection to Cindy.

In next week’s episodes, Leah remains hopeful that she and Imran can reconnect, though is still concerned that he is still in love with Cindy. However, she has no idea that Imran is hiding another, much darker secret.

But everything changes when a shocking event hits the village, with new pictures of Tony and Pearl looking stunned suggesting that what happens is totally unexpected.

As chaos unfolds, Lucas decides that he can’t keep the truth about his dad’s disappearance to himself any longer, so he rushes to the police station to tell the police about what Imran has done.

Lucas isn’t the only villager keen for the truth to be uncovered, as Cindy tracks down Imran and urges him to come clean about Ste’s kidnapping.

What Imran decides to do next remains a mystery, but could Cindy be the person to finally make him see sense about his dangerous actions?
