Trouble kicks off between the Dingles when Moira invites her son Matty to move into Wishing Well Cottage.
This infuriates Sam and Lydia, who had already earmarked Matty's new room for Samson's imminent return.
It's already difficult enough for Sam, Lydia, Cain and Moira living under the same roof, but with unresolved tensions over Samson's return thrown into the mix, the atmosphere could soon become unbearable.
"There's a really difficult journey for Sam and Lydia amid the expectation of Samson's return," Emmerdale producer Sophie Roper revealed, in an exclusive Inside Soap chat.

"It will lead us into some quite tense dynamics in the Dingle household, where Sam, Lydia, Cain and Moira are all living. It brings all of that to a head and challenges the relationships between those two couples!"
Two years ago, Samson caused a huge rift within the Dingle family when he sided with his troublesome friend Josh and falsely accused Matty of deliberately stabbing him at The Hide.
Matty was briefly imprisoned as a result, while the rest of the family were forced to choose sides.
So, will Samson really be coming home, or will Moira stand in the way? "There'll be quite a few complexities in that story, which I can't go into too much detail of…" added Sophie.

Next week's spoilers have revealed that Moira's stern stance over the situation risks alienating her family.
