Makati court, naglabas ng arrest warrant vs Leandro Leviste; solon, may mensahe sa kaniyang supporters

Naglabas ng arrest warrant ang isang korte sa Makati laban kay Batangas 1st District Representative Leandro Leviste dahil sa umano'y paglabag sa Public Service Act. Ang kongresista, may mensahe naman para sa kaniyang mga tagasuporta.

Batay sa dokumentong nakuha ng GMA News mula sa isang mataas na opisyal ng law enforcement agency, inilabas ng Makati Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 235 ang warrant noong Oktubre 5.

Nilagdaan ito ni Presiding Judge Ricardo A. Moldez II.

Humingi ng pahayag ang GMA News sa Makati RTC, ngunit tumanggi ang korte na magkomento.

Kaugnay ang kaso ng umano'y paglabag sa Section 25 ng Commonwealth Act No. 146, na inamyendahan ng Republic Act No. 11659 o Public Service Act.

Inatasan ng korte ang mga awtoridad na arestuhin si Leviste at dalhin sa korte para litisin alinsunod sa batas.

Itinakda naman sa P72,000 ang piyansa para sa pansamantalang kalayaan ng kongresista.

Binigyan din ng kopya ng arrest warrant ang Philippine National Police Directorate for Investigation and Detective Management (DIDM) sa Camp Crame, gayundin ang concerned chief of police o station commander, para ipatupad ang kautusan ng korte.

“Huwag niyo akong alalahanin”

Samantala, sinabi ni Leviste nitong Miyerkules sa kaniyang mga tagasuporta na huwag silang mag-alala sa kaniya matapos na iutos ng korte na arestuhin siya.

“Salamat sa lahat ng sumusuporta. Huwag niyo akong alalahanin, maliit na bagay lang ito kumpara sa ibang nangyayari,” saad ni Leviste sa isang pahayag.

“Kayo ang inaalala ko,” dagdag pa niya.

Kasalukuyang nasa France si Leviste para alagaan ang kaniyang ina na si Senator Loren Legarda, na naka- medical leave, ayon sa kanilang tagapagsalita na si Atty. Tony La Viña.

Sa hiwalay na post sa Facebook, itinanggi naman ni La Viña ang mga alegasyon laban kay Leviste at sa SPBC.

“There is no crime committed here by Leandro Leviste nor his company Solar ng Bayan which was granted a franchise by Congress in 2019,” ani La Viña.

Ayon kay La Viña, hindi isang public utility ang SPBC na sakop ng PSA.

Iginiit din niya na hindi kailanman naipatupad ang prangkisa dahil nabigo umano ang DOE na maglabas ng mga kinakailangang rules and regulations at tukuyin ang mga lugar kung saan ito maaaring ipatupad.

Dahil dito, sinabi ni La Viña na ang franchise ay “ipso facto revoked,” o awtomatikong nabawi alinsunod sa batas.

Inilarawan din niya ang reklamo ng DOE na, “a complaint looking for a crime.”— FRJ GMA News
