2027: Adeleke backs Tinubu; maintains support for Accord legislative candidates

Translate

Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has pledged to mobilise more than 1.5 million votes for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election in January 2027, while insisting that his support for Accord Party candidates in legislative elections remains unchanged.

Adeleke said a coalition involving the Accord Party, All Progressives Congress (APC) and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) was working together solely to secure Tinubu’s re-election.

The governor disclosed this in a post on X on Friday, following the inauguration of the Osun State Presidential Campaign Council for Tinubu’s re-election.

“Our rainbow coalition of Accord, APC and PDP is united solely for President Tinubu’s re-election in the January 2027 presidential election. This partnership does not extend to the legislative elections,” he wrote.

The governor also provided an update on the Osun local government crisis, saying negotiations were at an advanced stage and that he had received assurances from the federal government.

“On the Osun local government crisis, negotiations are at an advanced stage. I have received the assurance of the Federal Government, and there will be positive developments soon,” he said.

Adeleke urged residents to unite across political differences, saying the state needed collective efforts to secure a prosperous future.

“From the pain of the past, we must unite for the prosperity of the future. Together, let us mobilise and deliver Osun for President Tinubu,” he added.
