Sony TV North America Distribution Executive Vice President Flory Bramnick Plans to Depart After 24 Years (EXCLUSIVE)

Longtime Sony Pictures Television exec Flory Bramnick is departing the company after 24 years, as she devotes more time to important family matters. Bramnick, who currently serves as executive vice president of distribution, North America, for Sony Pictures TV, will remain through the fall to help with the transition.
As Bramnick departs, Monica Veiga, whose title is also exec VP of distribution for North America, will assume Bramnick’s responsibilities. (Veiga previously reported to Bramnick, focusing on U.S. sales.)
Bramnick currently oversees feature film and television distribution in the U.S. and Canada across platforms including broadcast, pay and basic cable, SVOD, AVOD and FAST. She also handles physical home entertainment and syndication sales, as well as distribution research.
She first joined Sony Pictures TV in February 2002 as vice president of strategic sales operations, then became senior vice president of U.S. cable distribution in June 2004. Most recently, she secured next-day streaming deals for “Jeopardy!” and “Wheel of Fortune” in the U.S. and Canada.
Here’s a memo to staff from Sony Pictures TV co-presidents of distribution and networks Jason Spivak and Mike Wald announcing Bramnick’s departure:
Team,
We want to share that, after 24 years with Sony Pictures Television, Flory Bramnick has made the personal decision to step away from the company later this year.
Over more than two decades at Sony, Flory has made an enormous and lasting contribution to our business. She has been instrumental in building and shaping our North American distribution organization, helping it evolve alongside a rapidly changing marketplace, while forging trusted relationships with partners across the industry.
Flory’s impact, however, extends well beyond the business. Her strategic instincts, judgment, and deep commitment to Sony have made her a trusted voice and partner to so many of us. Just as importantly, she has been a generous mentor and champion of talent, helping develop an exceptional team and generation of leaders who will carry that legacy forward.
We have both had the privilege of working closely with Flory for many years and are enormously grateful for her leadership, partnership, and friendship. Her influence will be felt across this organization for years to come, and we wish her nothing but the very best in this next chapter.
Flory will remain with SPT through the fall to support a smooth transition, so thankfully we will have time to properly celebrate her and everything she has accomplished over her remarkable 24 years at Sony.
Looking ahead, Monica Veiga will expand her role as EVP, TV Distribution, North America, assuming responsibility for the entire North American distribution business following Flory’s departure. Monica is an exceptional executive who knows our business, content and partners incredibly well, and we have great confidence in her leadership as we build on the strong foundation in place.
Please join us in thanking Flory for her extraordinary contributions to Sony Pictures Television and congratulating Monica on her expanded responsibilities.
